ABOUT THE CENTER

The center has been privately owned and operated since 2006 and has been designed to give clients on the Shoreline quality treatment. Our physical therapists spend 45 – 60 minutes per session with our clients to provide a comprehensive treatment program. This is rare among most practices in the state of Connecticut. We have private treatment rooms, which promote a more optimal healing environment where clients are able to get the quality treatment they deserve.

Come see our new state of the art facility, located at 168 Boston Post Road, Suite 3 in Madison, Connecticut. We have private treatment rooms, an exercise room with equipment, and we rent space at a local pool for aquatics.

MEET THE STAFF

Susan Kenney, P.T.
OWNER

Living with chronic pain in not an option for Susan Kenney nor is it for any of her patients. In 1977, after spending 105 days in the hospital from injuries caused by a driver who had been drinking. Susan’s life changed forever. She decided to become a physical therapist and help others recover from the chronic pain and disabling disabilities caused by arthritis, joint pain and muscle pain, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and other conditions related to neurological disorders and post surgical problems. Her goal is to help others help themselves.

Susan has 29 years of experience in the field. Her unique approach focuses on total body awareness. She believes that proactive health partnered with comprehensive treatments involving the mind, body and spirit will put patients on the road to recovery faster than just physical therapy alone. Her aqua therapy classes have become a very popular program on the shoreline.

Susan earned a degree in Psychology from Boston College while working part time as an athletic trainer for the women’s field hockey and lacrosse teams. She continued her studies at Quinnipiac University where she earned a degree in Physical Therapy. She also completed a 3 year Energy Medicine Program with the Healing Arts and Science Institute in 2008.

VERA LEVIS, L.M.T.
Liscensed massage therapist

Vera is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Vera is trained on the latest and best techniques available; such as: Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and sports massage. Vera has a healing touch and has assisted many clients with their therapy program.
